Ashley D is one of our very own xxxNifty VIPs, I have to take a moment to personally gush on her because she is simply such a joy to work with. Her content is always fire, she’s so positive and involved, I am truly grateful to have her as part of the VIP team!
Now to focus on the Queen herself, this free-spirited Philly native was kind enough to allow me a peek into her life. I never would have guessed she’d be into some of the things she shared with me; as such I couldn’t help but recommended some anime that I believe align with her tastes (lowkey hoping that she cosplays one of them some day) 🙈
Ashley D has journeyed coast-to-coast and plans to move out of the States in 2023. Knowing her and learning more about who she is as a person, I have no doubt in my mind that she will tackle and conquer every goal she has, head on. Thoughts on raising adult work from 18 to 20, essentially eliminating the teen genre?
I’m on the fence about it, being young and wanting to have money, going into sex work can be a very appealing choice; however, making a rush decision in this industry could come back to bite you.
20 is a good age because by this point you would have been through some life stuff, have a bit more experience under your belt and can make a better decision.
How are you always so positive?
I don’t have a good background, as an only child born and raised in Philly it almost goes without saying that I struggled with anger issues. In addition to that, I have also been diagnosed with Manic Bipolar Disorder.
I really just try to always be happy. I create art, music, and positive vibes; I believe in putting out what you want to attract, the Law of Attraction, if you will.
How do you feel about sharing this information?
I believe in transparency, part of having a fan base, you know? If it can help others, then I want to share.
Do you think the adult community could use more transparency?
Yes, I feel like even people who haven’t always had disorders can still have things come up, depression is a good example. You simply just never know what someone is going through, in this digital world it is even more difficult which is why transparency is more important than before.
What games do you play?
Fighting games: Jump Force, Marvel vs Capcom, DBZ, Street Fighter, Mortal Combat. I also play Pokémon on Switch, which is technically a fighting game as well…
I even used to have a home arcade, Final Fight, ended up selling it and am looking to get a Street Fighter one here soon.
Do you read comics or manga?
I read comics, I am a big Marvel fan. I love X-Men, anything with mutant powers; I also enjoy reading comics with witchcraft, mythological creatures, Greek gods, and the like.
How do you feel about anime?
I actually like anime, I’m not well versed but have watched My Hero Academia, Dragon Ball Z, Sailor Moon, Demon Slayer, and those kinds of anime. I will say that I prefer dub over sub.
